A virtual industrial automation showroom for onboarding users to Festo factory equipment, training flows, and product demonstrations.
Project Overview
Festo, a global leader in industrial automation, partnered with Theia to build the Festoverse: a digital showroom that recreates the Festo Automation Experience (AX) and the Cobot robotic arm as a real-time, remotely accessible Unreal Engine experience.
It replaces the cost and geographic limits of trade-show demos with an always-on space available 24/7. Visitors explore Festo's products at their own pace through videos, 3D models, and interactive simulations, guided by lifelike avatars, and the same environment doubles as a training platform that can be updated when the AX or Cobot change, without rebuilding from scratch.
My Contribution
Role: Lead Technical Artist.
I built and owned the complete framework, UI, and website for the experience.
Outcome
The Festoverse replaced Festo's trade-show dependency with a year-round experience that clients and prospects can access anytime, from anywhere, redefining how Festo handles onboarding, training, and customer engagement.
