A real-time VR review tool that helped Harley-Davidson teams inspect motorcycle configurations, finishes, and design options with leadership.
Project Overview
Harley-Davidson's internal design team needed a faster way to review new models and test variations on a daily cadence, without waiting on physical prototypes or multi-day render pipelines. The result is a real-time visualization template built specifically for their design workflow: load a configuration, review it in VR at full fidelity, evaluate finish options and design variations, and cycle through iterations quickly.
It was built to be repeatable and deployable in-house, so the team could run reviews without going back to an external team for every change.
My Contribution
Role: Lead Technical Artist.
I built and owned the entire VR interaction system for the review experience.
Outcome
Design reviews that previously required physical mockups or days of rendering now happen the same day a variation is proposed. Harley-Davidson's team controls the cadence, leading to faster decisions and fewer costly late-stage changes, all the way up to C-Suite reviews.
